How to Prevent Renal Failure in Daily Life

Renal Failure is a kind of kidney disease with serious harmfulness. If people can take active preventive measures in daily life, Kidney Failure can be avoided actually. In terms of the prevention of Renal Failure, people can take actions from the following aspects:
1. Take medicines with caution.
There are some common medicines which can cause damage and functional failure of kidney, such as various painkillers, some antibiotics and developers, etc. For Diabetes patients, the elderly and those with slight renal hypofunction, they are very vulnerable to those medicines with renal toxicity which can lead to reversible or irreversible renal damage. Patients should take medicines under the strict guidance of doctors. And, patients should avoid the long-term use of painkillers for reducing relevant complications and delaying the worsening of renal functions.
2. Avoid going to public places.
When patients’ resistance is poor, the toxins in their bodies will go up and inhibit the functions of some white blood cells in immune system, and then, patients will easily get infections like upper respiratory tract infection. Infections can worsen the illness conditions of kidney disease, so in influenza pandemic period, patients should avoid going to public places and take more rest for restoring the immunity.
3. Take active measures to prevent Hypertension.
The kidney diseases caused by high blood pressure account for about 15% of the total in clinical cases. If patients have suffered from Hypertension, they should closely detect the changes of blood pressure and take medicines under physician’s prescription. In terms of diet, patients should strictly control the intake of salt. Generally, 1g of salt can increase 100ml of body fluid which can drive up the current blood pressure level. Long-term high blood pressure can lead to the sclerosis of renal tubules and the aggravation of renal functions, thus causing the occurrence of Hypertensive Nephropathy and even Renal Failure and Uremia at last.
4. Drink more water.
Long-term lacking of water can lead to urinary tract inflammation, Hyperuricemia or some metabolic diseases such as Hypercalcemia, Hyperparathyroidism, Sarcoidosis, Cushing’s syndrome, chronic intestinal diseases, etc. And these diseases can result in renal calculus which may cause obstructive renal edema and finally lead to Renal Failure. So, people should drink more water in daily life.
5. Detect he changes of urine.
The situation of urine is an important indicator of renal functions. Through renal filtration, most metabolic wastes are excreted out of the body by urine. Patients should often detect the color of urine and if some early symptoms appear, they should take relevant treatments as soon as possible. An early intervention to renal impairments can postpone the development of illness condition into Kidney Failure.
6. Regularly take physical tests for avoiding hereditary kidney disease.
Renal tumor commonly occurs among those men who are 40 to 70 years old. ADPKD and hereditary kidney diseases always have familial medical history. Both Hypertension and Diabetes can cause Chronic Renal Failure. So, patients with these diseases should take regular physical tests for early diagnosis and early treatment.
