Major Symptoms and Prognosis of IgA Nephropathy

What are the major symptoms of IgA Nephropathy?
The most seen symptoms are frequent relapses of hematuria, and it could also be accompanied by symptoms similar to nephritis like proteinuria, dropsy, hypertension and even renal insufficiency.
Hematuria- one of the symptoms of IgA Nephropathy- has two presences. One is acute gross hematuria, marked with the first onset of the acute gross hemturia, and before that the patient has no history of abnormality in urine test. The disease is most common in children. Gross hematuria present normally after 24-48 hours of infection of upper respiratory tract, and several patients have onsets after infections of digestive tract. Gross hematuria would last several hours or many days. Besides, some of the patients would have symptoms similar to acute nephritis, such as transient hypertension and elevated serum creatinine which could be alleviated after treatments. Patients in this type would have IgA Nephropathy after the first onset of gross hematuria. Later patients would develop to have proteinura or microscopic hematuria in different degrees. Even when gross hematuria disappeared, 60% of the patients would have relapses normally after infections of respiratory tract. The other one is asymptomatic abnormal urine, such as persistent or interval microscopic hematuria, minor proteinuria, and cylindruria ocassionaly. Proteinuria and /or hematuria are usually found in physical examination and can not diagnose how long those syptoms are existent. With the development of the disease, patients of IgA Nephropathy would have large amount of proteinuria (over 3.5 g / day) and severe hypertension and chronic kidney failure.
How about the prognosis of IgA Nephropathy?
Most IgA Nephropathy developed slowly and have better prognosis. Normally, patients can achieve the goals to protect their kidney, inhibit further deterioration, and stabilize their renal function. The use of meditations in details should follow doctor’s instruction and depend on patients’ conditions. As for patient, the key is to protect themselves and persist in treatments. Normally, the features of poor prognosis are: aged patients (over 40) who have IgA Nephropathy onset; the filtration of glomerulus has been reduced on onset; persistent proteinuria in large amount (over 2g/24 h); moderate hypertension and persistent microscopic hemaruia and proteinuria. Beside the above factors, ectonephridium biopsy is valuable for doctors to assess the prognosis for the patients.
In Shijiazhuang Kidney Diseaes Hospital, we adopt Blood Pollution Therapy combined with Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy to treat IgA Nephropathy.
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy (MCMO) is an innovative treatment through years of therapeutic practices. The key technology is to micronize and pulverize medications which have been proved conspicuous curative effects for renal disease with the purpose of releasing effective constituents of the medications and mixing them together thoroughly. Then the micronized medications are applied externally to disease focuses with the help of penetrants and osmosis equipment. Large amount of the medications with high permeability would treat the disease more effectively through directly targeting positioning. This treatment avoids side-effects of oral administration and is target-oriented. Clinically, it has been proved effective and convenient. At present, the treatment is one of the unique and essential therapies in Shijiazhuang Kidney Hospital. Pathologically, it blocks further renal fibrosis through the following respects, dilating blood vessels, anti-inflammation, anticoagulation, degrading fibrous tissues, etc. It is capable of repairing intrinsic cells and renal function and rebuilding the original structure of the kidneys. In short, it is called as blocking, repair, rebuilding.
